The Tennessee ConserVOLiance

Curious About The ConserVOLiance?

December 20, 2007 · 3 Comments

If you’ve been coming by for the last month or so and wondering what the site is all about beyond some of the best political news coverage and commentary on things impacting Tennessee and Tennesseans, here’s a great opportunity for you.

Our newest ConserVOLiance member, Fabian Story from Political Straight Talk, is more than a blogger. He also hosts an internet radio show/podcast at Talkshoe. Fabian has invited me to be on his show this Saturday night, December 22nd, at 8PM Eastern/7PM Central. We’ll be talking about the ConserVOLiance, political activism, politics and who knows what else. Since it’s a talk show, you can get involved, too. Just head over to Fabian’s show page, Political Straight Talk Radio, and join in the fun!

You’ll need to set up an account. It only takes a minute or so to do it and you’re all set. Then you can participate in chat, phone in or just listen. And if you can’t join us live, the show is archived and will be available to listen to later at your convenience. Either way, we’ll be looking forward to seeing you and chatting with you at Political Straight Talk Radio Saturday night.

For the ConserVOLiance,

Blue

    Blue,
    This cat is a whack job. You may know him by his words, but I know him by his actions. I draw my conclusions from what I see, not what I hear. A smooth talker for sure, but take some layers away and you’ll likely find something totally different.

    @Anon -

    Well, opinions vary on things like this. You and I are going to have to agree to disagree.

    Do I believe Fabian’s perfect? Not at all. He’s not. Neither am I. Neither are you.

    But he’s always shot straight with me and those I know. Perhaps our experiences are different. But I cannot base my evaluations on the experiences of another. More accurately, I cannot base my evaluations on the experiences of an anonymous other.

    No doubt you have your reasons for remaining anonymous and I respect them. However, opinions are judged as much by who offers them as by their content. Since my experience provides different content, your only advantage would be in my knowing who you are in order to be able to consider the source. As you have seen fit not to permit me that advantage, I must go with what I have.

    I appreciate your contribution to the discussion here and hope you return. In this instance, however, I must remain unconvinced.

    I’m not hear to convince you, nor care about how my opinions are judged. I’m merely leaving a comment in the “Leave a Comment” blank. My sources are me and my eyes. He’ll shoot you straight with his mouth and say he believes in doing the right thing. I dont have to give specifics. He knows what he’s doing is wrong (hopefully). Its between him and his Maker.
